This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets forth guidelines and restrictions for Customer’s use and access of Services. Customer may use and access Services only in accordance with the Agreement and this AUP. By using Services, Customer acknowledges that it has read, understood, and accepted the latest version of this AUP.
Sucuri Right to Monitor and Enforce. Sucuri does not monitor or exercise any editorial control over Customer Content. Sucuri reserves the right to remove any Customer Content at any time and for any reason or for no reason at all.
Customer Responsibility. Customer will not use or access Services for any purpose that is prohibited by the Agreement, including this AUP. If Customer violate this AUP or authorize or help others to do so, we may suspend or terminate Customer use of or access to Services. Customer is solely responsible for all Customer activity, including use or access by its authorized users. Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability. It is Customer’s responsibility to install anti-virus software and related protections against viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, or other computer programming routines or engines that are intended to damage, destroy, disrupt, or otherwise impair a computer’s functionality or operation.
All use and Access of Services, as well as Customer Content must not be: (i) illegal, inappropriate, or offensive; (ii) include or permit the occurrence of a security violation, or (iii) constitute spam or abusive messaging. Such use, access, and Customer Content must not violate any of the following prohibited uses, which are provided for illustrative purposes only and not intended to be an exhaustive list.
Illegal, Inappropriate, or Offensive Content. Customer Content and Customer’s use of Services must not:
Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity or other right of any other person or entity;
Be unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another’s privacy, tortious, obscene, offensive, indecent, or profane; or
Involve commercial activities and/or sales without Sucuri’s prior written consent such as contests, sweepstakes, barter, advertising, or pyramid schemes.
Security Violations. Customer Content and Customer’s use of Services must not involve:
Logging onto a server or account(s) that Customer is not authorized to access; or causing, allowing, or assisting any other person to use Services or impersonate Customer;
Impersonating any person or entity, including any employee or representative of Sucuri.
Emulating or faking usage of Services, including forging user names, manipulating identifiers, or otherwise impersonating any other person or misrepresenting Customer identity or affiliation with any person or entity;
Violating or attempting to violate any security features or Services;
Using manual or automated software, devices, scripts, robots, or other means or processes to access, “scrape,” “crawl,” or “spider” any pages;
Intentionally introducing viruses, worms, software, Trojan horses, or other similar harmful code;
Interfering or attempting to interfere with the use of Services by any other user, host, or network;
Causing, allowing, or assisting machines, bots, or other automated service to access or use Services, without the written permission of Sucuri;
Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Services, or any associated system or network, or breach any security or authentication measures;
Misusing, tricking, disrupting, or otherwise interfering with the functioning of Services;
Forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any e-mail or newsgroup posting;
Tampering with the operation, functionality, or the security of Services; or
Attempting to override or circumvent any security or embedded usage rules that permit digital materials to be protected.
Abusive Messaging or Spam. Use of Services must not involve:
Unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, junk or bulk e-mail (“spamming”), including by means of submitting a virus, overloading, “flooding,” “spamming,” “mail bombing,” “pinging,” “hacking,” “phishing,” or “crashing” or
Harvesting or collecting e-mail addresses or other contact information of other users or clients from Services by electronic or other means;
Reporting Violations. If Customer become aware of an actual or potential violation of this AUP, Customer must immediately notify Sucuri at abuse.sucuri.net/ and provide all requested assistance to stop or remedy such violation.
Sucuri Rights and Remedies. If Sucuri determines, in its sole discretion that Customer’s use of Services is in violation of this AUP or any law or regulation, Sucuri may immediately remove or delete Customer Content, suspend Services, or terminate this Agreement. Sucuri reserves the right to cooperate with appropriate authorities, which may include, without limitation, law enforcement agencies, regulators, or other appropriate third parties. Sucuri may, but has no obligation to, disclose Customer Content, including disclosing the identity of the party Sucuri deems responsible to authorities that Sucuri in any investigation of alleged wrongdoing.
Customer agrees that Sucuri is permitted to make any disclosure, in accordance with its rights under this AUP. Sucuri will not be liable for any damages suffered by Customer or any third party, relating to the exercise of such rights.
Updates. Sucuri may modify this AUP from time-to-time. This AUP will be effective and applicable to Customer upon posting to Sucuri.net/terms or any successor site. Any use of Services after such modification will constitute Customer’s acceptance of such modification.
